Stop sending me updates that describe the berm as unstable.
I know it is unstable. The sun is breaking the binder, the dioxin is moving with the tide, and Section Three is coming apart early. That is why you are in the room.
What I need is the plan that keeps us selling the Schlitt Platform.
Research says cadmium and arsenic buy us another year. Then put them in it. Do not tell me that one year is not a permanent solution. Nothing we sell on that coast is permanent. One year is enough to renew the municipal agreements, finish the rezoning, restart the airport when we are ready, and sell the replacement system as an improvement.
Finance says the exposure is approximately one hundred forty million dollars against more than a billion in Platform and placement revenue. Good. Reserve it. That is not a crisis. That is cost of goods sold with lawyers attached.
Tier-One investors get the arithmetic. Everyone else gets stewardship.
Legal needs to build the record showing that municipal crews, port contractors, and those volunteer beach groups have all touched the berm. We did not invite people to climb all over proprietary shoreline technology because we enjoy community engagement. We did it because a platform with a hundred hands on it does not have one owner when something leaks.
Do not manufacture evidence. Preserve the evidence people have been generously creating for us.
Communications needs three stories ready.
First, the storms brought the renewal window forward.
Second, this is a complicated working coastline with old outfalls, agricultural runoff, atmospheric deposition, and forty years of other people's decisions in the water.
Third, Schlitt voluntarily paused the airport because our standards are higher than the municipality's.
The airport pause is not a concession. It is a test. I want to know how much delay the contractors, residents, and local officials will tolerate when we tell them we are protecting them. Measure the resistance. Measure who complains. Measure who repeats our language. Government Affairs can use that before the next zoning package.
Nobody outside this group uses the word dioxin unless counsel decides we have reached the moment when saying it helps us more than hiding it.
Research will release the enclosed-application work first. The outdoor degradation work remains under review until Legal can explain what it means without handing the plaintiffs a headline. That is sequencing, not suppression. Learn the difference and use the right word.
Get the foundations studying every contamination source on that coast except the one we already understand. A regional problem is harder to sue than a company.
The campus remains open. The Limoncello facility remains open. If the water reaches either one, we relocate the children safely, rebuild with public money, and document the response. Do not let anyone suggest that young residents were placed there because the land was cheap. They were placed there because Schlitt created land where there was none, and every communication should force the reader to confront that before they reach the chemistry.
The replacement Platform should cost twice as much. I do not want this positioned as a repair. A repair admits the first product failed. This is the next generation, brought forward by what we learned from an unusually demanding coast.
We are going to be paid once for the shoreline and again for correcting the shoreline.
Legal and Finance will tell me how we survive it.
Research will tell me how long we can keep it standing.
Government Affairs will tell me who needs to believe what.
Communications will make all three answers sound like the same act of care.
Bring me one recommendation, not six departmental excuses.
And attach this direction to the final package. I am tired of people claiming they misunderstood me after the numbers turn out exactly as I told them they would.
